Our Story
What began in 1977 with my grandpa, Pete Meyer, and his partner as Meyer & Gilmore soon became a family legacy. In those early years, they built everything from homes to custom cabinetry. Pete’s son, Wes Meyer, joined the team and learned the trade from his father, eventually taking ownership in 1992.
I joined the business the following year doing construction and cabinetry, and moved exclusively into cabinets in 2005. In 2016, I took ownership, carrying forward the same dedication to craftsmanship that began nearly 50 years ago. Today, I’m proud to work alongside my daughters in the shop, continuing the Meyer tradition into the next generation.

When we built our home in 2006, our contractor recommended Kevin Meyer of Meyers Cabinets for all our cabinetry. Once we met with Kevin, we knew we made the right decision. He was instrumental in our decisions for the kitchen, master bath, master closets and assorted cabinetry throughout that we had not thought of. When we downsized and moved to an already built home, we gutted it and again asked Kevin to do our kitchen and master bath. The transformation from basic, ugly cabinetry to hickory was amazing. We removed a kitchen island of cabinets and granite countertop and replaced with beautiful painted cabinets with a solid hickory top. It is extraordinary. Kevin also built a beautiful room divider with drawers on the bottom and open shelving on top and later framed a window with lit shelving and a bench. Having dealt with many various contractors, we honestly felt our best decision was going with Kevin. He was a pleasure to work with, listened to us and gave his expertise in making our decisions. We would highly recommend Meyers Cabinets. Kevin Meyer is truly a master of his craft.
